Vishal Kapoor, M.D.
Dr. Vishal Kapoor born and raised in Southern California received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego. He then moved to Boston, MA to attend Tufts University School of Medicine where he distinguished himself, receiving his medical degree and graduating in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Kapoor was accepted to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the highest honor available. Alpha Omega Alpha is to medicine what Phi Beta Kappa is to letters and humanities.
After graduation, Dr. Kapoor completed a six-year residency program at The University of Washington in Seattle, one of the top Plastic Surgery programs in the country. Dr. Kapoor’s residency combined General and Plastic Surgery. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Kapoor was selected to complete a one year fellowship at the Aesthetic Surgery Institute in San Francisco under the tutelage of Dr. John Owsley, a pioneer of modern facelift surgery techniques. Dr. Kapoor is one currently of the few physicians in the Los Angeles area with subspecialty cosmetic surgery training.
Dr. Kapoor specializes in all aspects of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with an emphasis on breast surgery, body contouring and facial plastic surgery. He is one of the few Southern California plastic surgeons practiced and adept in the SMAS-platysma bidirectional facelift. The goal of a SMAS-platysma bidirectional facelift (deep layer or muscle) is to achieve a more natural, longer-lasting result than the typical surgical facelift.
Dr. Kapoor chose to specialize in aesthetic plastic surgery so that he could contribute to improving the self-confidence of his patients and make an impactful difference in their lives. This is apparent in Dr. Kapoor’s caring bedside manner and his meticulous attention to detail that produces natural looking results.
