Body Contouring
It is all too common for people uncomfortable with their body to shy away from activities enjoyed by others that might require them to reveal their cellulite of fat. Body contouring is the use of treatments to reshape areas of the body that have been unresponsive to diet and exercise, returning them to a more aesthetically pleasing look. Cellulite
Cellulite is believed to impact upwards of 90% of all women. Most commonly seen on the thighs and buttocks, cellulite is caused by a poor elasticity of the connective tissue that holds the fat cells in place beneath the skin. Many physicians and scientists believe cellulite is caused by high levels of estrogen, often a function of genetics and heredity. Other factors include: poor diet, smoking, crash diets and sedentary lifestyles. As you age the subcutaneous layer of the skin thins further promoting the appearance of cellulite.

Excessive sweating
Thought to affect 2–3% of the population, primary or focal hyperhidrosis is when the hands, feet or armpits sweat excessively. Sweating is the body’s natural method for staying cool. It is a perfectly natural body reaction to sweat when you excecise, in hot weather or as a response to embarrassing situations. Hyperhidrosis is overactive sweat glands responding in the absence of these triggers. This can lead to significant physical and emotional discomfort. In most cases there is no apparent cause though it seems to run in families. Botox is approved for excessive underarm sweating when topical agents don’t work.

Spider and Varicose Veins
It is believed that 1 out of 2 people age 50 and older are affected by varicose veins. Blood vessels contain valves that prevent blood from flowing backwards. When these valves become weak and leak the result can be varicose veins. Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged, often turning blue or purple. Spider veins occur similarly but are smaller than varicose veins and closer to the surface of the skin. Predisposing factors to varicose and spider veins include:

· Obesity
· Hormonal influences such as pregnancy and menopause
· Jobs that require a lot of standing

Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are a type of scar that occurs when the elastin and collagen fibers that make up the dermis break down. Stretch marks or striae appear as line, bans or stripes and are typically white or red. Stretch marks are commonly found on the flanks, hips, buttocks, breasts and thighs. Rapid weight loss and pregnancy are common causes for stretch marks in women. Men may also get stretch marks after bulking up in the gym.

Unwanted Hair
There are studies indicating that more than 20% of women suffer from unwanted body hair. This is typically the result of heredity or ethnic background but may also be the side effect of certain medications. There aren’t any statistics to indicate the percentage of people who wish to have tattoos removed; it is safe to say that with the recent surge in the popularity of tattoos, the overall number of those wishing to have them removed has grown and will continue to grow.
